            "content_html": "\u003c!-- BBT: Fatigue Analysis --\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn behalf of the engineering consortium ILF/Geodata/HBI we performed a detailled fatigue analysis of the air pressure stress imposed on cross-cut doors by trains running through the \u003ca href=\"https://www.bbt-se.com/\"\u003eBrenner Base Tunnel\u003c/a\u003e.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHigh-resolution 1D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) algorithms have been used to simulate the 24 hour air pressure load history emerging at 10 selected observation points. These results have been aggregated for the estimated 200-year life span of the tunnel using the Rainflow Method to form a resulting fatigue damage spectrum.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cimg src=\"/images/software/BBT_druckbelastung_teaser.png\" alt=\"BBT Druckbelastung Teaser\" title=\"BBT Druckbelastung Teaser\"\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFurthermore, an FFT analysis has proved that no distinctive oscillation stress is to be expected from the air pressure loads.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur consolidated findings allow \u003ca href=\"https://www.bbt-se.com/\"\u003eBBT-SE\u003c/a\u003e (the key account) to reduce fatigue assessment specifications for cross-cut doors and similar construction elements, providing considerable cost savings in comparison with traditional specifications.\u003c/p\u003e\n"

This was the stepping stone for the ongoing cooperation between KISTERS and ITEG, and the starting point for the development of our visualization product TISGraph. The project was successfully completed in 2011.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTIS utilizes the constant stream of structural measurment data from sensors embedded in the dams in combination with models derived from statistical analysis of historical data to predict the deformation of the dam structure depending on factors like the outside temperature and water storage level. In the course of this project, a number of new deformation models where developed for the large dams of Illwerke AG.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe also implemented a software service for transferring the resulting threshold values to the Illwerke Control Center (ICC). As the threshold values represent data viewed as critical to plant security, the transmission and storage of these values takes place within a physically seperated control network.
